I really like games that throw me into a new world where i can explore dungeons, fight monsters and get better and better weapons. Skyrim and Fallout 4 are good examples, but even something like Terraria fits. Problem is, i've already played all those games. Anything similar to them?Edit: I know next to nothing about The Legend of Zelda, but Breath of the Wild seems to fit the bill.

I saw some sort of inventory system and the selected weapon was a stick. Hotspot vpn free download pc. That's EXACTLY the kind of thing i'm looking for. You're in this new world and all you have is a stick, then you find/craft a wooden sword, then an iron one, and so on so forth. Is that what the Zelda games are about? Would you say it's worth playing all of them from the beginning, or have they not aged well?Edit 2: Cave Story is also a good example.
Oct 26, 2016 You knew Skyrim had to be on the list. It’s one of the most epic RPG, open world games money can buy. With the gigantic map, the amazing storyline, the quests, the houses and the weapons and mechanics of the game there’s no wonder why this is one of the all-time best games I’ve played. It’s like Fallout if fall out was set back in time.
The more i think about it the more i realize that this is a very difficult request because i'm not asking for a specific game like 'oh i want an fps with rpg elements' but more a game that satisfies a certain feeling of discovery and adventure-ing, but that's what i'm looking for. Consider looking into 'Metroidvania' games (Metroid and Castlevania are old classics that were very into this sort of gameplay).
That is basically a genre built on exploration, discovering new paths and characterised by multiple routes. Cave Story isn't quite a metroidvania game, IIRC its a little bit too linear for that, but its still going to be a good tag for you to search by.Consider looking into the Metroid Prime games if you still have something that can play them. They are a great bit of exploration based FPS. The best bits for me were using my information scanner to learn more about the world. One of the games (third one i think?) repeatedly has you explore a derelict spacecraft full of corpses, and scanning each one lets you know exactly how they died.Moving onto something that is on more platforms, the Souls games (Demon Souls, Dark Souls 1-3, Bloodborne (BB is a PS4 exclusive)) are built on exploration and discovery, and really isn't so terrifying to get into as people think.
My little sister was a beginner gamer who'd basically only played Skyrim before, and she managed to get into Dark Souls 1, so i'm sure you can.The world is not as large or open as skyrim or fallout, but its dripping with atmosphere. The story is told almost entirely through item descriptions and the vaguest of hints, so its got an appealing sense of discovery to it as you explore the ruins of this once great world and try to figure out exactly what went on. Its storytelling as an archeologist. It keeps stringently to the idea of 'show, dont tell', which means so many things in the game are very debatable as it relies a lot on your interpretation of events.Finding new items is key, and you can choose to make your character a squishy sorceror or a brutal powerhouse or a miracle using knight or a magic swordsman or whatever with a lot of different weapons spells and armor to equip. And if you find one direction is kicking your ass, just find another. The world is well realised, sprawling and repeatedly links back on itself. This here is a stylized map of the first game. You start in the middle, with that bonfire that has a sword in it. Where you go next is largely up to you.
