Full info here: ➤wiki.totalwar.com/w/Aboutourtrailers. Year agoI enjoyed the first Total War: Warhammer, but it felt kind of. The old Dark Omen had tons more soul and character and I really miss some of the old features, like character portraits showing up during the midst of the battle, screaming some order or profanity.

It's hard to relate to the characters in TWW.Dark Omen had an actual story, which made it cool. It was like a choose your own adventure, where sometimes you'd decide to go one way or the other. Battles were made to be difficult based on the units you were supposed to have at that point in the story, etc.

I'd honestly trade all of the campaign map, city building, etc. To have more of an on-rails story where we command the troops that we've collected through our choosing of story paths. Year agoWot's all this about the pointy eared gits gettin' krumped? I's gonna get me some o' dat!I get the feeling the HE are more balanced for the main campaign than multiplayer. If they DO have weaker units in battle it's probably because they're intended to have a playstyle emphasising micromanagement for any real effectiveness (same reason I rarely play the $^#&% Asrai despite them having some amazing troops)On top of that there's Mortal Empires and balancing against THAT ridiculous number of factions.

117 factions means that CA needs to balance for more factions and their army lists than the entire champion list for DOTA.If you really want to play the shiny ones in MP battles and, I'd say give it a week or two for the first rebalance mods to hit the workshop and decide on a defacto 'standard' one for multiplayer until CA applies some TLC.

Welcome to!A subreddit for all of those who love the Total War series. So, some things noticed here.First, the Legendary Lord start positions:.

Tyrion: Lothern. Teclis: Turtle Isles. Mazdamundi: Hexoatl. Kroq-Gar: The Fallen Gates Kingdom of Beasts. Malekith: Naggarond. Morathi: The Iron Peaks.

Queek, Probably: The Southern Jungles. Thanquol, Probably: The Lost ValleySecond, there are no factions that simply share the name of the race - we have Lothern instead of High Elves, Naggarond instead of Dark Elves, etc. This is different from how TWW1 did it, and it's a change I approve of.Third, as a lot of people speculated, there's a heavy Dark Elf presence in Ulthuan - the Scourge of Khaine has occupied eastern Nagarythe, while the Cult of Excess has taken control of most of Eataine. These will probably serve the same role in Tyrion's campaign that the Secessionists serve in the Empire campaign.Fourth, Nehekhara and Araby are not empty, but the 'proper' factions for those regions aren't present, either. Instead, Araby is ruled by Bretonnian crusader states, while Nehekhara is ruled by two Vampire Counts factions, including one called the Strygos Empire (!!!). We know we're going to get a Tomb Kings DLC at some point, and personally I'm really hoping we get an Araby DLC as well.Fifth, apart from the two playable ones, none of the Skaven subfactions appear to control territory on the map.

In addition to that, their cities are depicted as ruins. This suggests that Skaven-controlled settlements might actually appear to be ruins to other factions during the campaign, which would definitely be very Skaven. I was sure that it was Thanquol for months but now I'm finally starting to have doubts. I still cant figure out how CA will implement Skavens if they bring in Pestilens right at the start but the signs are starting to get getting clearer.Pestilens has its own unique rooster and is mostly separated from the rest of the clan so it would have made perfect sense to have them come in as a DLC at some point but now i simply don't know what to think. If Pestilens is on the table then what will they cut from the normal rooster to allow them to make it in? They cant possibly have implemented the whole thing. I'd guess it will be an amalgamated list with strong bonuses towards clan flavour units depending which LL you pick (ie Skrolk would get Plague Monk bonuses, Queek would get Stormvermin etc) rather than clan orientated armies.DLC wise I suspect it would be some of the more unique units rather than a clan theme.

Stuff like Clan Skyre warmachines, the Moulder Hell Pit Abomination and Pestilens Plague Censer Bearers. It will be interesting to see if they put in Deathmaster Snikch. I can see that working in a similar way to the Green Knight.
