For the more tech-savy among you, there is now a new option in the launcher enabling you to use a ‘Release Candidate‘ or ‘RC‘ version of War Thunder.In effect, this means that you will be able to try out many of the latest client-side changes planned for the incoming regular update in War Thunder, while still playing normally on the live server.

In the past I would just go to launcher settings and click check files and things would be great. However, with the new 1.53 update, it's just not working. I've resorted to uninstalling the game which was a mistake cause the problem didn't clear up. Now it won't let me download the game AND the update. I'm on my University's WiFi which might be the problem as they don't allow torrent downloads (which is stupid).
Any suggestions? Should I just take my laptop and find a WiFi connection at some random Cafe to be able to download the game properly?. I'm having basically the same problem on my home internet. I've uninstalled and in the process of re-downloading the game.
For whatever reason when it was downloading the update my antivius freaked out so I told it to ignore it. Then the launcher kept giving me an error with something along the lines of there's a file already named or something like that. Then it just wouldn't work.So I tried uninstalling via Steam but apparently that doesn't do jack shit.
It deletes the launcher but not the actual game files. For whatever reason CCleaner wouldn't uninstall it and neither would the normal Windows program in the control panel.
I resorted to just deleting the files manually. When I tried to reinstall it via Steam it wouldn't do so because I don't enough disk space which is bullshit (I doubt the game is 300+ gb). So now I just downloaded the launcher off their website and waiting for it to download the game.So in other words I won't know if it'll fucking work for a few hours.
